CUBS PROGRAM
Pre-K 3-4 year-olds & 5 year-olds not yet in Kindergarten
SEASON BEGINS:
September 7, 2024
SESSION DATES:
September 7 / September 14 / September 21 / September 28 / October 5 / October 19
SESSION TIME/LOCATION:
9-9:40am @ Glendale Elementary
6 weeks of sessions - 1 session each Saturday.
Sessions are soccer skills and fun games in one.
$140 for the season. NSU Jerseys not included in registration, but can be purchased separately here.
All sessions feature professional coaching.
If 9am time slot fills up, we will open a 10am session
All Cubs sessions dates and times may be subject to change, depending on registration numbers and field usage
What to Bring
Please have your child properly equipped with soccer cleats or sneakers, shin guards, and water.
Bring yourself and prepare to have fun.
Please make sure your child is NOT wearing any jewelry.
Balls will be provided for those without.

Program Description
The Cubs program is designed to get kids active outdoors, touch the soccer ball and have fun. We will play a series of skill based games so each player has continuous interaction with the ball in order to build skill and confidence. Many of the games are childhood games you will recognize, but with a soccer twist. We will demonstrate foundation skills and practice them with the kids then apply them to games. We will also play some more open soccer games, which we will see become more open and less parent & coach dependent as the season progresses.
Parent participation is vital to success. The Cubs program is run by NSU Staff and YOU parents. Kids this age are still primarily focused on parents. The more parents who are involved, the better it will be. We will also work in bursts. Attention spans are short, so we will use that to maximum effect. We will play, get some water and rest, play, get some water and rest, etc. The more parents who are involved, the better it will be. We like to have a one on one parent to child ratio.
