Scholarship Assistance Program
The Nashville Soccer United values the participation of area youth in our soccer programs. Our association knows that some players are unable to participate in club soccer programs for multiple reasons unless they were to receive financial assistance. Therefore, we designed the Scholarship Assistance Program for those players who need some level of financial assistance to participate.
Financial assistance is available on a limited basis for those who complete the application and submit the required documentation proving the need for assistance by the deadline.
Any player requesting financial assistance must submit an application to Nashville Soccer United. To be later reviewed by the Nashville Soccer United Scholarship Committee. The Committee will review each application in confidentiality and provide written notification of approval or non-approval after the application’s review.
Applications must be submitted yearly without regard for whether or not a player received prior Scholarship Assistance.
Those applying for assistance should specify on the application the type of assistance needed. Scholarship Assistance may be given for the following:
- total or partial registration fees
- total or partial uniform fees
The Scholarship Assistance Program will be based on financial need as determined from the relevant information provided with the application.
This is our belief that in order to keep families invested in the program they must be responsible for a partial payment at least $39 which covers registration and player card or $49 the same plus a jersey.
The program is available to both boys and girls of all ages, and there is no limit to the number of children in a particular family that may receive financial aid.
Scholarship recipients are required to participate in all activities of the team: practice, tournament, and games. In addition, they will be required to participate in any club and/or team fundraisers during the season. Lastly, the recipient must remain in good financial standing with the Club and their team.
The Nashville Soccer United’s Scholarship Assistance Program will be administered by the Board of Directors.
- The Committee shall be responsible for reviewing applications,
- The Committee shall present a written report to the Board, and
- The Board will make the final approval of the Committee’s recommendation.
- The Scholarship Committee shall consist of three (3) members of the Board.
